How I Became Paralyzed
Living a normal, healthy life destined for success and happiness like any young adult aspires. In 2011 a bacteria attacked my spinal cord and paralyzed me inside and out formally called Transverse Myelitis leaving me in total paralysis and vent-dependent, until the present day.
My Journey and Drive
I've fallen in love with art around 8 years ago. being bed bound with total paralysis, pain, and discomfort with very little ability to communicate is very very heavy mentally. Not have any ability to escape for a while and I only had 2 choices. I can watch tv or just re-runs of TV shows or I could stare at the ceiling for hours.
●I started drawing and painting digitally with just my phone and a stylus called the Samsung galaxy note
●Got more serious so began taking online courses and tutorials
●Then painting with a drawing tablet and drawing on photoshop, a digital art software
● To then make the leap into traditional drawing with a huge source of inspiration from @andrew_tischler_artist @santocesart @aaronblaiseart @devonrodriguezart
I kept drawing and creating certainly to distract me from my pain and discomfort at moments. At the end of the day, the work I enjoy the most is when I'm in a deep focus, and time flies by! But even better when it has a bigger impact on other people that just makes them want to do for themselves and others. With that said, receiving positive feedback on the impact, I make in people's lives, whether abled or disabled has been one of my drivers to keep walking uphill and see what happens along the way.

I'm very blessed and gratified with the strength I've been given to be doing what I love as my ambition despite my paralysis. This hard-working, strategic life with the One and Only above me allows me to inspire, motivate, and meet interesting goals all the time. With my Beautiful mother and friends’ support as a backbone, to take what I believe with this store and then some to execute to take things to the next level. Together with your help can inspire people with challenges to share the will of the mind and what can be accomplished with the right mindset even if you are 90% paralyzed. I hope we are able to collaborate and work together to use me to inspire others but ultimately for me to have the ability to be financially stable to go home.
